Being noticed about any movement of our motorbikes give us security.
Mapit, which is available in multiple platforms, makes this possible with ease.
When it comes to Android, it is a platform that runs in multiple devices from different brands, each one with different settings.
About Samsung, the default settings from their Galaxy devices might restrain some notifications.
Both Android and iOS get the same notifications, regardless of the brand or model. Therefore, every Samsung Galaxy must receive the same notifications as other devices. If you want to get every alert about the status of your motorbike follow the steps below.
First things first. Let’s set the notifications within the app. It’s simple:
In the landing page, tap on the “my device” icon placed in the lower bar. A menu will unfold, where you have to select “information”
When changing screen, scroll down and turn the “vibration alert/movement” button on.
Samsung is a particular case compared to the rest of devices since the restrain is located in “special access” within the settings of the phone.
The route to go is the following:
Go to “Apps” within the Galaxy settings
Tap on the upper button (with 3 dots): then access to “special access”
Click on the first option “optimize battery usage” and change the option “non-optimized apps” to see “all”
Search for the Mapit App and turn the right edge button off
Also, you can erase cache and data from the storage of the App in the settings of the device
In order to make sure everything works properly you may do a trial. Having both your computer with the web app and your phone, move your motorcycle and check where have you received the notifications. If you only got it in the web app, something went wrong and you should contact us to firstname.lastname@example.org. If the notification arrives to both devices, you are all set!
